Our much-loved Vintage Afternoon Tea Cruises return in 2017 with three confirmed sailings!
Each one will be a charming 2 Hour cruise aboard the Lady Diana, sailing through the Duke of Westminster’s estate.
Grandparents’ Day – Sunday 10th September (12 Noon & 3PM)
With a delicious, vintage afternoon tea prepared by “King’s Acre Cupcakes” featuring freshly made finger sandwiches, homemade fruit scones with jam and cream, an assortment of Teas and an array of divine homemade cakes. Plus all adults will receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival whilst children will receive a glass of squash. The bar will then be open throughout the cruise. Relaxing background music will be playing on all three decks as we cruise along the River Dee.
The Lady Diana will be decorated in all manner of frilly table cloths and colourful bunting while your tea will be served in vintage teapots, cups and saucers. What a charming way to spend a couple of hours cruising up and down the beautiful river Dee.
This cruise itself is quite superb, an extension of our city cruise up the beautiful River Dee, cruising through some of the most attractive parts of rural Cheshire, past Heron Bridge and Eccleston Ferry, meandering around the crook of Dee and through ‘Eaton Estate’ with its most beautiful and peaceful scenery. Aldford is next, then the wonderful sight of the Duke’s Iron Bridge, before returning to Chester.
There may be excellent opportunities to see and photograph wildlife, including, swans, wildfowl, cormorants and even kingfishers.
This is a cruise not to be missed and a fantastic way to spend time with your loved ones. All of our vintage afternoon tea cruises sold out in 2015 and 2016.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable. Some dietary requirements can be catered for including vegetarians and then wheat, dairy and fish allergies. Unfortunately there are no high chair or baby changing facilities on board so please consider this when booking for small children.
