How accessible are your boats for wheelchair users?

The Lady Diana and Mark Twain have a direct ramp leading onto the landing stage and a portable ramp which we can position to enable wheelchair users access to the rear deck. Unfortunately due to size limitations the toilets do not accommodate wheelchairs but there are some located along the riverside a short distance from our landing stages.

Where is the nearest place to park?

There are limited spaces along the riverside but these are limited to a maximum of one hour. There are Car Parks on Pepper Street and there is also the Little Roodee car park opposite the Racecourse and this is only a short walk away. Park and Ride is always a good option; the Wrexham Rod service will drop you at Pepper Street near our landing stage or the Upton service will drop you at Foregate Street which is approximately a ten minute walk away from us.

How far are your landing stages from the Railway Station?

It is approximately a fifteen minute walk from the Railway station to our landing stage. Alternatively the number 40 bus will take you from the Railway Station to Frodsham Street, approximately ten minutes from our landing stage. You can also reach our landing stage by walking along the city walls, the southern section of which run alongside the River Dee.

Do you still sail if the weather is inclement?

We always try to sail and do not like to cancel sailings; however should the river be in severe flood or we have strong winds and torrential rain then we may cancel. It is always best to give us a ring 01244 325394.

Can we bring our own picnic on board?

Yes you are more than welcome to bring a picnic on the half hour and 2 hour cruises. We do however have a fully stocked bar serving hot beverages or alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with a small selection of snacks.

Is it cheaper to pre-purchase our tickets for the half hour and 2 hour cruise?

It is cheaper to pre-purchase your tickets but you will need to print them out and bring them with you on the day. You can also still buy them as you board the boat. Bus and boat tickets are heavily discounted and these can also be bought on the boat if you wish.

Where does the half hour cruise sail to?

The half hour cruise takes you to the city limits; you are given an informative commentary whilst admiring some of the historic and beautiful properties on the River Dee.

Where does the 2 hour cruise take you to?

For those who have the time, the 2 hour cruise is a relaxing trip cruising along the beautiful River Dee through the Duke of Westminster’s Estate along to Ironbridge, his own personal bridge located near Aldford.

Can coaches/minibuses drop people off at your moorings?

Yes there is access down to the river for coaches and minibuses to allow passengers to disembark. We would then advise coach and minibus drivers to park their vehicles at the Little Roodee car pork near the racecourse.

Do you do special rates for carers?

Do you offer special rates for groups?
